iPhone SE plus is coming!!

APPLE launched a new generation of iPhone SE last year. Although the phone sports the same A13 chip as the iPhone 11 Pro, the performance is very strong. However, we should state that the market performance on the other hand is not good due to the small screen. Apple is now reportedly preparing to launch the next generation of its cheapest smartphone, the iPhone SE in the second half of this year. Beautiful images of the iPhone SE Plus (Might also be called the iPhone SE 2021), as well as details about it, have appeared online.

The information was shared by the Slovak website SvetApple – They also published renders of the future device. The source itself does not insist on complete reliability. According to them, it is a concept, but very accurate. The images give an idea of ​​what the iPhone SE Plus might look like.

However, the transition from the large frames to the embedded front camera looks rather doubtful and unlikely. The main selling point of this device will probably be the A14 Bionic processor. The main goal of this handset is to compete with budget Chinese models.

Regarding the technical specs, the following is noted.

• 5.4-inch OLED screen with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution.
• Touch ID fingerprint reader in the power button, similar to the 4th generation iPad Air.
• 12MP wide-angle main camera, SoC A14 Bionic.
• 4 GB of RAM.
• 64, 128 or 256 GB of built-in flash memory.

In addition the iPhone SE Plus will also add IP67 dust and water resistance. So now, it can resist solid particles such as dust and sand. It also supports at least 30 minutes of work in 15cm-1m water.

In terms of prices, it is expected to rise in price compared to last year’s iPhone SE:

• $499 for the version with 64 GB of storage;
• $549 for the version with 128 GB of storage;
• $649 for the version with 256 GB of storage;

Even though there looks to be possibility of price increase coming from previous gen iPhone SE, it looks to offer better value over the iPhone 12 mini; that is minus the 5g if rumours are to be believed.

Last year @SvetApple posted fairly accurate renders of the iPhone SE more than a couple of months before the announcement, thus this renders are to be treated as highly close to what we might see in the end.
