Portless iPhone 13 pro max might be in the works!!!

iPhone 13 rumored to feature 'refined matte back,' always-on display, more - 9to5Mac

APPLE has been known to be somewhat of a "discrete" company especially in its approach to device specifications and one to shy away from revealing too much about its devices internals. It is little wonder most of our sources on upcoming technology from the silicon giant has to be from credible leaksters and all the more these details become juicy due to Apple's ingenious elusiveness.

The upcoming iPhone 13 lineup is no different as a slew of new features have been reported to be in the works, with the most prominent being.

support for HRR screens with ProMotion display,

    a reduced notch,

camera improvements with support for a new portrait mode and

quite possibly a portless pro model.

Bear in mind that, usually Apple launches its new devices in events held around fall and this year should be no different, thus we're still some ways afar off an official announcement.

Other such rumors include release of four models similar to the iPhone 12 lineup, an enhanced 5g modem with support for Wifi 6E, Always on Display(AOD) and in-display Touch ID. While it has been common place for androids to feature impressive components for multimedia consumption i.e big batteries, HRR notchless displays and support for daringly fast charging, it is good to see Apple making up ground- "It's the little things that really do matter."

NO CHARGING PORT iPhone 13 pro Max

If Apple is the fearless innovative giant we know, and just to provide some context; they successfully started the no headphone jack trend, no charger in he box trend and still maintain their proprietary Lightning port, then it will certainly be in keeping for the Cupertino-based firm to introduce a port-less design for the iPhone 13 pro Max

As macrumors Reports.

"Such an iPhone would presumably charge solely using Qi-based wireless charging, but that would require some significant enhancements in wireless charging speed. One rumor has also indicated the possibility that Apple could perhaps adopt a Smart Connector for the 2021 iPhone, which would allow for charging, data transfer and syncing without a Lightning port."

However as exciting as this decision might seem, if it indeed becomes true, it poses new challenges as wireless chargers are not as cheap compared to their wired counterparts, and there are concerns for safety, efficiency of charging as well as battery health over time.
